Probably an old cleaning and now has some toning from it.

Lots of detail so it is appealing for that.

If you like it is really all that matters.

I figure it'll get nailed for cleaned and retoned, but I liked it anyway (except for that obverse dark spot). Don't think it'd grade straight at all. Guess I'm just stubborn!

Frankly, I figured that this was one of those coins that people who like toning would love. Coin in nice condition and a semi key date. I went for it. What about grade?

I was going back and forth about just turning it around, but I've decided to keep it. It's quite pretty in hand. Don't think I'll have a problem selling it when that time comes - lots of people seems to love toned coins and the condition is very nice. Thanks for the comments.

That overall pink color is not natural for copper and a sure giveaway an acid has been involved at some point. I'm with westernsky, UNC details cleaned and QC.

Sort of looks like the type of AT you get from the sulfur in a hard boiled egg? Otherwise still a pleasing coin.
