I would agree with John1, tape or tape residue or possibly a horribly re-plated cent, that we know are very common.

I appreciate the comments. Attached are a few more photos showing a better view of the "cracks". Also note the marked DDD on Abe's chin and neck. I'll try giving it a bath in Acetone if necessary.

I used my old trusty 30 power loop and I'm still thinking cracks. The reverse is nice with no cracks. Perhaps Silviosi called it. Thanks again..

I do not think the neck doubling is DDD. Something to do with channeling or retooling ,can't remember.
