Well done. Yes that's an rom-002.
Even though this was out of your wheelhouse it is strong enough and you are experienced enough to see it. Congrats on all fronts.

I agree with RPM-002 as well, MM location also looks correct.

Thanks everyone. Most online searches I see are for sales of mint state examples. What would this one be worth in G or VG grade? To me, this coin is a G-6 grade, but grading well-circulated Lincolns is not my thing.

I'd grade it VG-08. Don't know whether these bring a premium.

It's a dramatic RPM on a semi-key date. But varieties on rare coins often just don't add too much value as it's the coin's value that rules the day. I sold one of these in pretty close to this condition about a year ago and got a staggering $23 for it.

I'm at VG as well with the grade. I'm not sure if this will help you with a value but someone posted it years ago and I managed to find it in my Bookmarks list. (Values for Varieties and errors.) https://varietyerrors.com/coin-price-guide/Also, Coppercoins has some approximate values for Lincoln Cent varieties but they only go down to "Fair" grade.
