After looking at it more it looks like it was clashed again after the partial E and that is what I am seeing. I can see the original lines faintly and then another E that goes into the ribbon that lays more horizontal than the first sorta diagonal E

Compare to the size of the E on 1891 o VAM 1a1 - http://www.vamworld.com/wiki/1891-O_VAM-1A1 Your outline is too large to be an E from clash transfer. It almost looks like it could be denticle impressions, but hard to tell from the photos. I would venture it is not likely VAM 1B.

Well I matched all clash marks and die markers I could find on VAM 1b. Checked others and didnt see anything close to what this coin has

Pareidolia from the toning blotches. The E should be oriented roughly parallel to the neighboring leaf. Your "E" is rotated 45 degrees counterclockwise.

Originally I was seeing something else but had matched up all the progression markers so I knew I was in the right area.. the toning really brings the trip back.

Yes that reference and they match exact.. it is a bit tougher to see because of the toning but if you know what you're looking for every one of them are in the pictures just posted

The only thing thats different is the die crack/chip on the right side of the second 8 is smaller so I would assume it is earlier in the stage

I agree with @kbbpll. This does not appear to be a VAM-1B.

There is no way this is a V1B.

Well the clash under and in-between the "st" of trust is not there and I can't find the n clash off of the neck. The toning makes it a bit more difficult to check it

Think I got a decent shot of the E.. hard to do with the toning. The top of the E where it hooks backwards is apparent as well. Tried to outline to make it a bit easier with the toning.

I'm sorry to sound insulting but I call this numismatic psychosis. You know what the actual clashed E looks like, and how it's oriented. You know what the die crack in the stars and the date actually looks like. You know what the other clash looks like. Yet you persist. All you have here is some blobs of toning and corrosion that vaguely looks like an E. It's not VAM 1B. No matter how hard you look at it, it will never be VAM 1B. It's time to let it go and move on.
