Does anyone else think this may be a proof coin? These Seated dimes can look proof-like, so I wasn't sure.

Thanks for your responses thus far.

The mushy look of the details tells me it's not a proof. Just harshly cleaned, probably baking soda and water.

Looks to have some wear, especially noticeable on the lower reverse. Vertical hairlines obverse and reverse suggest an abrasive cleaning, maybe polishing as well. AU details, cleaned. I'd think twice before buying this piece.

Looks like a proof coin that was harshly cleaned. That is a shame!

looking really close at the devices I'm not seeing any of the hairlines crossing them on either side. this could be an impaired proof due to the discoloration across the obv. could be PF62 (details). out of holder photos would help a lot.

I had put a bid in on this coin but had second thoughts and retracted. Still not sure if I will pursue. I thought it may be a proof but isn't identified as such in the offering.

I appreciate your continued comments. The auction closes at 6 PM tonight.

Any reason we can't see this outside the holder?

I decided to take a chance on this coin and won it. Paid XF/AU price. We can get a better look at it in a few days.

Coin arrived. I don't think it is a proof unfortunately. Estimate high AU cleaned, just as the photos indicate.
