$464? That coin is over $1000 in AG Details condition, over $2000 in VG Details, and as others have stated, the date position is wrong. Don't wait, get a refund now.

Look at the porosity in the date numerals. This is a poor cast counterfeit that should fool no-one who has viewed genuine Morgan silver dollars.

The other question would be "what auction house was listing this coin?"

One look fake!
As far as the auction house goes, do you really think they'd sell you a 1500$+ coin for 464$? If they thought for one second the coin was genuine they would have hot shotted it off to a grading service to get it slabbed! Auction houses do not like losing money or leaving money on the table.
Do not waste your hard earned money trying to get this graded! Return it ASAP!
They hope you forget to send it back or violate their terms of service that you agreed to when you bought it!
Best advice I can give you is not to buy high dollar coins until you know exactly what you are buying and who you are buying it from!
Sorry this happened to you!

That metal rising above the field should not be there.

No reputable auction house would sell this coin. DO NOT send them money no matter what guarantee they promise it is a low quality fake.

All genuine 1893-S Morgan dollars have the date in EXACTLY this position. Any variance indicates a counterfeit, or altered date or mint mark coin.
