As Dearborn posted. These all have been through the upsetting mill. They have a proto rim, that makes them type 2 planchets. Type 1 is no proto rim and called a blank. That would be a good idea to put them in a Whitman holder, that would look nice.

Short answer is yes, some of them do.
Assuming that's an Eisenhower planchet, they typically go for $75 +/- because they aren't made any more, were made in low numbers and are generally the scarcest of that group.
I've seen Kennedy planchets go for around $50 as well.
The more coins minted, the less value the blanks have, but the Eisenhower and the Kennedy are the stars in your group.

Thanks ...I appreciate the estimated value. I really wasn't looking to sell any of them at this point. I have two sets of the planchets in my 'stash' of collected coins and didn't know how to mark them for future reference. I like Cujohn"s idea about putting them in Whitman holders.

When I said to put them into a set, I was thinking of something like this: If you can find one that will accommodate the Eisenhower and Sacagawea dollar that would be even better - you would just have to get a copper cent planchet..

I found a couple of nice coin holders to store and organize the complete planchet set. Thought you might like to see. Thanks... Have a great weekend. *** Topic Moved by Staff for continuity of conversation ***
