A MS64 Seated Liberty half dollar. Full details, light toning, with 100% original surfaces. They're tough to find in 64 for $1,000 but it can be done. Most of the fun would be in the hunt!  |

I'd have to get into a bidding war with Gothic Florin over that 1875 CC Twenty Cent Piece, thus driving the price over the $1000 limit for sure. That's what keeps happening to me in my search...Sigh.  |

My opinion changes .......but I'd have to agree with the '09 S V.D.B right now...... I fear that'll be a hole I'LL NEVER FILL ! Strange because I've certainly bought enough gold for $800.00 to $900.00 apiece...... but am "hard pressed" to do it for a tiny little rare Copper Cent ! ..... Edited by eaglefoot

1909-S VDB because if I came upon $1,000 it may not happen again and my cent collection is the closest one I have to finishing.

Vermont, are G4 16-d's really going for over a grand up there. I bought a conservativley graded G-4 (I'll find out if it comes back VG in a few weeks) from my local dealer for $900. I happened to be in the shop when he bought it, he gave the guy $850 for it and he made a quick $50 off me in 5 minutes. He has 4 or 5 G-4/G-6 in the case and they all go for under a K.
