I'm not convinced the surfaces are original, so I'm also at AU details, unless better pics can show some luster.

On the obverse, I see a lot of parallel lines akin to scratches. I think they are due to cleaning. Also, there is no luster whatsoever on the face of Liberty. It's flat and lifeless. There is a funny little dimple under the "3". Finally, the coin seems to have a massive rim ding at 11 o'clock. The reverse looks a bit better, but the breast feathers of the Eagle are all gone, while the wings still have luster. Maybe also a sign of cleaning? Or is it a weak strike? There are scuff marks under "In God We Trust".

Looks worse in the new pics. I'd go Au details harshly cleaned
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

Definitely AU details, cleaned. The rim issue might just be glare from a holder.

Deceptive seller photos, harshly cleaned, scratched. Not a fan.

Busy surfaces with lots of small marks and enough parallel obverse hairlines to indicate cleaning. Certified AU examples have sold recently for close to what you paid. Seems like you can do better for about the same cost.

I agree with you. I see these get into straight grade holders, but that doesn't make it less cleaned. It is headed back to seller today. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
