It looks like a rim to rim die crack, or really close the upper end cannot tell for sure,to me!
Either way nice die crack!
Though wait for others to chime in to
know for certain..

If I saw a load of bubbles I would also think that, though with no other bubbles present and the information I just posted IDN...please review information and let me know?

I agree with plating bubble. The part on the shoulder is really bulbous.

@seeker_101, I know what you mean about it bubbleishus pr wider, and I just read about piece by Mike Dimond I think it was a Coin World world article about this wider part of some die cracks...I am currently looking for the article to post. I am curious because I have a similar one and been researching about this, please take a look at some information I already posted and let us know again where you sit on this...

@ g58 - it would be a good idea to start a topic on that coin you are researching and post up a few images of it.

as for the OP's coin - it looks like a series of linear plating bubbles to me.

Linear plating bubble.
If it was a die crack, there would not be breaks in the line.

Right - Linear (lineal?) Plating bubble! And has anybody really depressed a plating bubble successfully with a toothpick?

Yes, but only when it is trapped gas and not debris between the copper plating and the zinc core.

So it actually depressed? I haven't found Linears to depress (so far) .
