Oh I agree I can't imagine the mint doesn't raise prices. I just thought the normally left the cost TBD until a weed or so prior to the actual release. It is a little strange this time around you can pick up an ebay ms70 for about 150. I was expecting the list price to be in that area. Maybe the big buyers know more than we do.

Maybe the big boys do.!!!! I Too was thinking around $140-150 When I learned, Not many talked about it, the " authorized purchasers " HAD access to Most All collector's releases, I was Fuming.... Those AP's were founded/developed for The American Silver Eagles Bullion Series. Not collectible strikes. ( mint marked variety ). The authorized purchasers get far to much product Before the General public, Not a level playing field, Rant Over.

I sent an Email to the Mint asking the following: Will there be any special edition, set, finish etc. to specifically celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the American Silver Eagle? I received the following reply: This letter is in response to your recent correspondence to the United States Mint. For one year only, the Mint will issue a variety of exciting new collectible products. The 2026 American Buffalo, American Eagle, and Morgan & Peace coins will bear a dual date of "1776 ~ 2026." These coins, as well as the 2026 American Innovation $1 Coins, will also have a unique Liberty Bell privy mark inscribed with the numeral "250." For the most up-to-date and comprehensive list of products, please visit our Web site at http://catalog.usmint.gov/product-s...le/?view=all to view our product schedule. There is no mention of any acknowledgement of a 40th Anniversary, I guess the Semi is the only consideration this year. I will hold onto the hope that they make a surprise addition later in the year.

Quote: There is no mention of any acknowledgement of a 40th Anniversary, I guess the Semi is the only consideration this year. Fair enough. The ASE can do something fun in 236 for its 50th. Quote: I will hold onto the hope that they make a surprise addition later in the year.

Well, Lets say they Were getting $97.00,
when spot was approx:$45-50/oz.
The spot of Today is @ approx $85.00/oz,
I see for an American Silver Eagle in 2026 approx $ 155.00- $ 175.00/oz.

Quote: I believe the Venn diagram shows enough overlap to make the two topics redundant. So, What happened to this belief, on these two topics: . . . 1> " 40th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set: Fantasy Wish List" . . . 2> " 40th Anniversary ASE Suggestions" . . . . . . .

Okay, the first topic ran 8/18/2025 to 9/8/2025. This topic was created 12/29/2025. No one recognized it was an existing topic and I cannot catch them all. Maybe it was overlooked because the first was specifically about a set and the other the ASE in general.
