Quote: ...you're sitting behind your desk, surrounded by intense, glaring overhead lights... I would assume that you have been hired by some shady organization claiming to be PCGS, but is actually not. The real PCGS don't have "intense glaring overhead lights" in the grading room. The grading room is quite dark, with the lighting coming from adjustable lamps set at below eye level - an environment specifically designed to ensure that "glaring" lights are never shining in anybody's eyes. Quote: ...You can't help but notice everyone staring at you, which only adds to your confusion. From across the room, a small, bald-headed figure breaks away from the crowd and begins walking straight toward you... I don't know how you'd notice all this from inside a grading cubicle at the genuine PCGS, so again, it sounds like you've been employed by a fake PCGS. In the real PCGS, these environments are designed to remove distractions (such as other people moving around the office). You definitely can't see the other graders at all when you're "sitting at your desk", and they can't see you. Quote: ...And it must be done by Thursday, March 5th," so it can be placed in a PCGS holder... Another sign the organization is fake. Three whole days to grade one coin? When in the real PCGS, a grader has less than 30 seconds to make that judgement? I'm going to assume you meant to type "1895 Morgan dollar", which I'm given to understand is some kind of rarity within the Morgan series, rather than "1985". As such, it would probably be graded under the top tier service, and be granted somewhat more time for inspection (as well as additional graders beyond the usual two). But certainly not 3 whole days. And they're certainly not going to throw a top-tier coin at a newbie for their "first assignment" as some kind of test or initiation.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Fun scenario. With all that, I'd rather have the piece judged accurately, vs. with 'precision'. If a competitive shooter fires 5 rounds at a target, and the five round grouping is very tight--that's precision. If that grouping is a few inches to the left of the target bullseye, that's not accuracy. I'll take accuracy.

I thought the 1985 Morgan was part of the story. This is no time for a typo!

. . . Part 2 of 3 - '1885' Morgan After several long minutes of studying the coin beneath the harsh glow of the lights, you slowly reach into your jacket and pull out your grandfather's old brass loupe — worn, heavy, and wise with years of judgment. You lift the coin carefully, pinching its rim between your fingers, bringing it closer. closer. until the world around you fades and all that exists is silver and shadow. You tilt it gently, letting the light dance across its surface. Back and forth you move it, searching. watching. waiting for that unmistakable flash of luster to ignite. Then, under your breath, almost reverently, you murmur, . . " Hmmmm." . . . Can't wait to see what Sap has to say about this.

It was a make-believe scenario just for fun, about YOU, the rookie PCGS grader, on your first day on the job... I WAS going to post the larger actual picture of the 1885 Morgan for you to rate... I'm sorry I even stated this! . . .Next performance has been canceled!
