These, as well at the 2009 cents, are going in a different album. The LWC/LMC album is full, no room to add pages.

My LMC Dansco has 8 holes for the 2009's...didn't notice what the holes are labeled after that. I might have 2009's in the LMC album, and then have them again in a new album for 2009 forward.

My kids and I have been calling them shield cents from the time the design was announced. I expect that will be the norm, along with--as always--Lincoln pennies.

I would pay good money for a Dansco page that has 2008 P/D/S plus ALL 2009 designs annotated:

2009 (zinc)
Formative

2009 (copper)
Formative

2009 D (zinc)
Formative

2009 D (copper)
Formative

2009 S
Formative

Obviously the last one being proof only. Are the product developers Dansco dense? If they made an extra page like that it would fly off the shelf! How many people own a Dansco 8100 and how many of them do you think would buy one?

Sure, some people might not want proof only S mint, some might not want the 95% copper. But it's not like it would be costly to run different combinations. This is a no brainer.

I know I would buy one. I have 8 pages in my 8102. 2 extra pages, one for early proofs and one for satins. I like the look of it but without the labels for each hole it seems lacking.

Someone who's willing to pay good money should call them order some pages.

I called them, and apparently they don't even have a company website! While I was searching for their website I found a company profile claiming they only have 10-19 employees! A much, much smaller company than I initially thought.

In any event a woman with an accent answered the phone and I posed the question to her. She said, "We might be able to but but there might be a 100-200 page minimum. I thought to myself if the price is right I might even be able to sell the extra pages for a profit. So I asked her how to go about getting a quote, and she sounded shocked and confused that I even asked. She suggested I call back when the owner is there, I then decided to just shoot him an email. I figured he's a busy guy so that would be more appropriate. If I don't hear from them by Tuesday I'm going to call back and ask to speak with him. I'm not going to be overly optimistic, but if I'm the exclusive holder of these custom pages it might be a nice little side business.

Great approach Paratrooper, let us know what happens!

P.S. When you start making the "big bucks" selling these, we all get a discount right?

If you need a tax ID to get a wholesale price I may be willing to partner up with you. I'm not a coin dealer but I have a 30 year old gift/home furnishings business. I also live in Delaware where I can buy and sell tax free! May be worth my time to split the order with you or something.

How about "Funky Shield Cents" FSC's for short. That should make everyone happy. This would set them apart from other funky cents that may come out in the future.

Maybe I play warcraft too much but I've been calling them Lincoln's Shield.

Look forward to hearing what you learn...doesn't sound like it would be cheap (and I wouldn't expect it to be).
