How awesome is that!
Neither my wife nor my kids has taken an interest in my coins. This thread makes me wonder what will be written about crazy old dad and his boxes of coins in 50 years or so.

Hopefully St.joe, they won't call a shark in to give them face value for the lot.

Washing the Morgans today in Acetone. Will also be giving her some tubes to store them in hopefully it will increase my chances somewhat of being able to purchase some of the collection.

Amazing! Thank you for sharing the photos. I am going to bookmark this thread because I am going to want to look at them again. Even if you are not able to purchase anything, just being able to look at all of this stuff is time well spent.

Coins were only a small part of her collection she has antiques rocks and fossils. Hopefully I will get to look at the Gold/silver bullion and the dark side coins soon but they need to excavated.. The Acetone worked wonders on the green slime. The Morgans and Peace dollars were not high grade to start with but I was afraid they had all been reduced to melt. A couple had bad PVC damage but looks like we caught most of then in time. They are now all housed in Tubes. I worry that this might create more space for other stuff.

Man that's some cool stuff! Even if they didn't let me buy I'd really enjoy looking through all that. I can't wait to see what kind of gold they have!

Very cool pictures. I think I'll try nohope's acetone treatment on my Israeli Mint Set which has been ravaged by that green plague.
Bring back a pile of Libyan notes and coins.
