Tim, what a sniper coil and a pin pointer. Are you a marksman?

Nothing. X-mas isn't about gifts.

Not sure what I'd want but every year for many, many years now I give one Proof set, one Mint set and a copy of the Ringed Version of the latest Red Book to people for presents. Been doing that for a long time now. Used to be about 15 of them but due to people moving away or passing away, has dropped to 10 each year.

I usually do not ask for anything coin related, but my Christmas wish is usually to have extra money left-over for the February coin show.

Quote: Tim, what a sniper coil and a pin pointer. Are you a marksman? Sniper coil: A small search coil used on metal detectors to search in tight spots. http://www.amazon.com/Sniper-Coil-4...p/B000K9KBWSPin Pointer: is a small handheld metal detector that is used when you go to dig a detector find you can't find it. Your search coil is too big to search the sides of the hole, so you don't know whether the target is on the side of the hole or is deeper. http://www.kellycodetectors.com/vib...andhelds.htm

Sounds more like a Sniper that points at people with pins.

Tim, I don't have a sniper coil but do have a pinpointer for gold country out here. Pinpoints nuggies very nice. I actually found an 1870 era Levi Strauss button with fancy script at a campsite in Arizona. It's a gold machine, but finds relics and coins too!
I too never ask or receive any Numismatic related items but, did ask the fiance for an upgrade on my 16-D Merc. She just gave me that "yeah, right!" stare :-)

Interesting - I'm with you - thinking I am going to spring for a 31-S Lincoln to fill that slot in my album. Thinking of something in the MS-63/MS-64 Red range if you are listening Santa!
