I'd do one other thing with this. Create a return policy. You turn away more people then you think. I personally refuse to buy from someone that doesn't. When it comes to coins sometimes it's viewed as a potential shady seller hence my initial reaction to this listing.

Really GO? I never even considered that. I just checked it off - I guess for personal convenience.

Never knew it had that much of an impact

Hmmm that's a tough one. I can't seem to find any info on it. Have you tried calling the Philadelphia Transit Museum for some info on it? It looks recent like it's been made within the last 10 years. It's possible it could be silver but I doubt it solely for the fact that a museum had these made.

This is gonna bug me so I'll keep looking.

It was made in 2000 the 2000 is a date.

Yeah, I don't know whether its pure silver or not. My grandfather collected strictly pure silver, so I don't know what to expect

As an aside, although I like the obverse portrait I wonder what the designer was thinking when he/she did the reverse. It looks like a very poorly-executed version of the Kennedy half (Presidential seal) reverse. If that was the only side I could see I'd assume the medal was some kind of crude Chinese forgery.

As 0.8 ounces of 999 silver the medal should fetch at least $32 (including shipping) based on today's spot price.

Yeah bro thats what I thought when I first looked at the thing. Then I checked the edge and saw .999 pure silver and was like "wow, this is a really cool piece"

Rbethell11, I have to add that one of the first things I check before bidding on ebay is return policy, then shipping policy. If "No Returns" is listed, I almost always pass. I also usually will try to see if the seller has anything else I want, and if they don't combine shipping that will frequently tip me towards not bidding on anything else they might have listed.

My guess it'll go for $32 +/- a buck. AFAIK, it's an open-stock series that can be ordered at any time, like presidential series from the US mint.

And please quit calling it a coin, it's a medal.
