Found this LMC today- is this a Struck Through Die Cap or a Struck Through Grease LMC?

I'm thinking its a Struck Through Die Cap but I'm not 100% positive.

*Also, can anyone make out the last digit on the date?

It looks like a 4 or 5. If so, then this coin is something new as all 94's and 95's should be CAM'S and this cent is a Wide AM on the reverse.

Maybe its a 1993, which would make it a normal reverse.

Thanks for any help on both questions!

Looks like a '94 Struck Through Grease to me, nice find whatever it turns out to be.

Can you get an angled close up on the date?

I think it's a 1994 too... but... the more I look at it the more I can see a "5"...

It was struck through a late-stage die cap. Its appearance is quite typical.

Here are a few more pics.

It looks like a possible 5 and if so, its a 1995 WAM and a new discovery.

* I'm not getting excited on this as the chances are slim and none and more leaning towards none that this is a legible 1995 WAM cent.*

Thanks for all the inputs & responses.

Thanks Mike for your attribution on this being struck through a late stage die cap.

The last digit I believe is a ZERO upon further looking at it. The bottom portion of the 5 on this cent is not consistent with a 5 on a normal 1995 LMC date. :(

Yeah, the high rim would indicate late stage die cap.

No matter what, it's a cool find. I have never found a die cap and I rarely find a Grease Fill die (worth mentioning). There seems to be no love for the Grease Filled Die coins. I found a total of ONE that was noteworthy. Over that same time period I've found two 1999 WAMs, a few 1998 and 2000 WAMs, and a 1972 DDO-2. So why no love for a heavy Greaser? In my eyes they are indeed rare.

Looks like a 1992 to me. They are interesting, but more of a wow coin for a new collector.

I see a 1990 cent as well. I have no idea where 1994 is coming from, nor does it look like a 1995.
