Clear enough indeed! I think that's about as clear as dates get, this early.
(And I love that we're finally progressing again! My confusion over Jani Beg had eaten up over three quarters of our slack relative to the 8th edition, but we're still at about 70ish days ahead, and it might yet possibly go *up* if the other thread gets stuck in the next few decades.)
My next entry is 1334 (definite), then 1323 (dubious), then I don't think I have anything until the 12th century.

Sorry for not commenting again earlier. I think there is a sort of dual ambiguity on the 1339 attribution of the leeuwengroot. First, there is a timing issue of "authorized" versus "struck." That is, the December 1339 date is when the coin was authorized (Witte, Ghyssens, etc.) and I think j1m raised the question of whether it could actually have been struck in 1339, as opposed to early 1340. This gets into the whole "emission" question which was discussed in a previous edition (how long would it have taken to design and create the dies, etc.) In this case, it was a legend variation on an existing type, but there woud only have been three weeks remaining to produce the coin in 1339, and it clearly was produced in very large quantity given how many have survived. So it's reasonabe to think production could have extended into 1340. The next documented emission of a new Brabant groat type was a few years later. Next, there is the question of the "Academia" article and its authority. Since nobody in the auction world (Elsen, Heritage Europe which is in the same part of Europe, Kuenker ...) has ever cited it as far as I can tell, nor cited a date like 1341 or 1346, I think this must be considered regardless of what I or anyone else think (though also true that there is a lot of inertia in the numismatic world on such things...MEC is still not cited as authoritative by some of the large Italian auction houses). 'nuff said.

Looking good! Looks like the ninth edition is going to have to wait indefinitely.
