I saw these and could not resist. In 1975 I really thought I saw an Eisenhower with that date - although I knew it was impossible. So now I own one!

And then a piece to "finish" the Franklin set:

These over-strikes are products of the Moonlight Mint and made on an actual press once used in Denver. I do not know why, but I really like them! The luster on them is absolutely stunning and perfect - but my photography skills do not show this. Truly great gems when in hand.

Nice looking coins and a great idea for a Christmas present for
ones self. Daniel Carr definitely has some talent.

Nice finds! Was that Ben the last one you need for your set?

Well...

Yes and no.

Since the mint was planning to make the 1964 Franklin but never did b/c of JFK's assassination, the 64 Franklin is a fantasy coin. So it is not really a part of an actual "complete" set. But seeing as it is an actual Franklin that was overstruck (is that a word?), and would have been made anyway, I saw it and thought - why not?

I also never even thought of collecting the proofs as my concept of a complete set was only what could be found in circulation (all of mine were from circulation except my 48D). So now maybe I should set my sights on these also
