Nope. The is a 1930-D in there.

All large date except the 30-D. When you have a small date next to a large date, it will stand out.

I've been told large date enough times to know that these are large dates. I can't comment on the 30D but nice find.

Actually, having the 1930 D in the picture is an excellent reference for identifying 1970 S small dates. The "9" in the 1930-d, look at the curl in the top of the 9. Points directly towards the last two digits....as a 1970 S small date would.

Actually the date digits on a 1930D wouldn't match either of the 1970S date sizes, and comparing them stands a greater chance of causing more confusion than it solves.

All of the 1970S cents posted in this thread are large date.

The 1930D is just that - a 1930D.

Well, you got me curious so I checked my album, and I'm pretty sure THIS is an example of the small date/high 7? Hope so...
