I, too, like the Gallienus animal series. Here is my MERCVRIO CONS AVG with a criocamp (forepart of ram and rear of sea monster). It is in poor condition but rare. The Cunetio hoard ha 11,136 pieces of Gallienus from the sole reign and only 6 of this reverse.

Welcome here my friend. This is a reverse I was not aware of until now. I have the hippocamp, but, doggoneit, now I have to find a criocamp.

Regards,

Looks like a very nice coin. In good condition. Many of these are not in such a state of preservation.

Nice coins Eng. Good detail. I also got a new one a couple of weeks ago. It's a RIC 179, Stag walking left. The Obverse is in poor shape but the reverse is pretty good.

Haha, funny Steve.

All those are pretty nice coins. I went looking around for these coins with the intent of eventually purchasing one. The most common seems to be the antelope or the stag.
