So what do you all think of the US Mint now? They offer an unique 2 coin ASE set that most felt turned out to be a good deal with the mintage being only 251K. Most people thought this was a good way to make up for all of the people who missed out the 25th anniversary ASEs in 2011.Now it seems this set is not unique due to a new offering from the Mint for the SF ASE proof and a special $5 bill. Who thinks the US Mint mislead them on the first offering? Who thinks this is a slap in the face? Who thinks none of this matters? Are any of you planning on cancelling any or all of your orders? Just curious on what the pulse is on this whole issue. I'm sure this isn't the first time or the last time something like this will take place by the US Mint. What are your thoughts on all of this?
Rest in Peace

The one thing that I am upset about is the inflated price of the two coin set,and now trying to perpetuate that pricing with this set. The price of the "normal" proof coin for this year was $59.95 although now it is unavailable for product repricing! What do you think, lower due to reduced sales?

Well at least the newest set is just the "S" Proof and not the reverse proof, and sadly I will probably order one of these sets as I am one of the "S" mint suckers the Mint is targeting!

What upsets me is the ridiculous pricing of this set. WAY to high, as most of their recent offerings seem to be.

As I've said in other threads, I'm not upset that they did this but how they did it. A joint government agency project like this takes months if not longer. They knew all along it would be done and stayed quiet to increase sales. Within 2 weeks they announcer it afterwards. Very underhanded and deceptive. Ill be getting all my mint products on the after market if this continues.

That thread has been discussing this as well for a couple pages.
