Just did a spot check and less than 420 of these remaining to be ordered.

I don't expect these to be good investments based on the 30k mintage but they are really well done, reasonably affordable and will appeal to a wide audience. For those reasons, I ordered a second yesterday that will likely be a gift for someone in late December.

Every bank in canada will accept them once they speak to the Mint, it's just a hassle. Sorry to perpetuate the thread jacking but Rockdaddy is correct. Bolding added. From the FAQ page of mint.ca"Can I redeem a collector coin at a bank or use it as currency to purchase goods or services? All coins manufactured by the Mint are legal tender. However, unlike Canadian circulation coins, collector coins are non-circulating legal tender (NCLT). As such, these coins are not intended for daily commercial transactions and accepting them as payment or for redemption is at the discretion of businesses and financial institutions. The Mint has a process in place to reimburse financial institutions the face value of redeemed NCLT coins, once they have accepted them from a customer and returned them to the Mint. In the event a bank branch is unaware of this procedure, customers are advised to contact the Mint with the coordinates of the bank branch, which will take steps to inform the branch of the redemption process."

Toronto Dominion (TD) at Midtown Toronto will accept.
To Rockdaddy
For sure, Neil doesn't live in Canada, and it weird that he tries to start the conversations about the subject that he have no idea about.
According his reaction it looks like he afraid to ask something the tellers at his local bank - they would hurt him.
Like respectful guy from PowerCoin (in other thread) will not continue this useless conversation without additional proved facts. Mine coin they will take.

well, I am sure other dealers still have tons of these 1/2 oz coins.
As for the $20 for $20, why bother to go to the bank? Just put it up in Kijiji and inmany cases, you can sell them at $25 which would be $5 profit. If worse comes to worse, sell it at cost.

It was in the transparent glass display with the illumination turned ON. Really well done coin. Bought it as second coin - will be a nice appreciation gift for the business partners abroad.
