I am wondering if it is worth it to send to a TPG?

Worth a slab? Oh, heck, yes.

This key date (28,000 struck) looks almost identical in terms of wear to a PCGS VG10 I saw on Heritage. That coin sold for $747.50 last year.

How's that math for you?

My only worry is the rim over the first S in STATES. That might be considered damage and net you a Details grade. But depending on the size of your investment, definitely submit it.

I will go with VG-10 because the reverse rims seem a bit weak but I would not be surprise if a TPG decided to call it F-12. It is a nice coin and worth getting certified.

I took this one to the FUN show to sell. One dealer looked it up on his greysheet and it was $450. So I showed it to Heritage and they gave me $800.
