This coin is not in the best of shape but, nonetheless, it is a 1972-P DDO and I am thrilled to have it. The only thing is I am not sure which one it is as there are several possibilities. I am leaning toward 008, what do you all think? All opinions would be quite welcome. Thanks!
Awesome find! I am still looking for my first major anything for a LMC. I will admit I have not searched any boxes yet but I bet it will take me many of them to find one of those.
Great find. The condition makes it a little harder than most to determine what of the nine you have. 1) You have the secondary counterclockwise spread to the primary image evident in the 3-0-I, 6-0-I, and CONECA: 8-0-I. What is the Key to this coin is the spread of the seven in the date which is not found on the 3 or the 6. Also note the thickness of the nine at the top in the date which is thicker than the 3-0-I and the 6-0-I. As well as a more prominent doubling of the E in liberty. Yes in my opinion, and it is only my opinion, it is an CONECA: 8-0-I FS-01-1972-108 [033.58]. Again GREAT FIND!
Looks like this one from the images. It is harder to tell on circulated examples. Compare the you in trust. That is the first place I check. There are also a couple of die gouges on the "T" of TRUST in some die states.
