My story

I bought a coin of ebay India and paid with Paisapay - thankfully it was only £4.

When I received it - it was a fake. I contacted the seller and agreed to return it. He never refunded me.

I opened a case but it went against me .

I contacted ebay support (a rather optimistic term) and was told that Paisapay was not covered by buyer protection - so tough luck there.

Communication with the vendor has dried up so I left negative feedback - no coin and no refund

And behold - my negative feedback has been removed ! Apparently if you lose a dispute you also loose the right to leave -ve feedback.

Most annoying!!

Well, that sure sucks!
Man, these kind of people are a disgrace to the coin community.

Who was the seller? You could post their name and the details here and other coin forums.

As much as it hurts me to say this: Use Paypal. Lesson learned. Sorry to hear of your ripoff.

The sellers name was "kapillahori "

Sometimes Paypal is not available so it can't be used - Paisapay is advertised as a sister product - but apparently not covered by ebay's buyer protection

That is when you move on to the next listing. If the seller is not taking PayPal it is not worth it.

Samething happened to me. Got an Indian coin that was a fake when I received it. Won't buy from India again. I've onlly had one good experience buying from an Indian eBayer. Cultureally, they don't seem to have the same values as far as honesty and customer service goes, so I've just decided not to deal with it.

Yes- but Paisa pay is ebay India's version of Paypal - it, like Paypal is owned by ebay so you would think that the same level of buyer protection was in place - apparently not.

I don't really care about the £4 - not really a lot of cash - it's more the principle of the thing and how ebay won't let me leave negative feedback because their "ruling" was that I could not get be refunded - therefore a "ruling" seems to prevent negative feedback.
