Only the 1/2oz silver RCM coins (34mm) will fit perfectly the holes in this box. The inlay is too hard in order to insert something bigger. And sure, smaller coins with soft ring around the capsule. But anyway, the quality of the box is good and it worth $39. I bought it for different 1/2oz coins, that just didn't display well near bigger coins.

I see Volterra Trio cases come with 30 mm, 39 mm & 48 mm openings and you can also get one with one tray of each size. I am wondering if the openings on the Volterra trays have a little "give" to them to squeeze in an encapsulated coin that is 1 mm larger than the openings. I got hung up on an idea to store 35 mm coins that are 40 mm in diameter when encapsulated (Bird series as well as many other coins). Could someone that owns a Volterra trio case, please comment. Thanks

Smack me if this has been already covered but are there any wood workers out there in the community that have attempted to make a display for the 20 for 20's?

Okay my last post got me thinking, I've got a shop full of tools and some nice wood. I'll give it a try and let you know how I did. I'll aim to have one finished by the end of August. I'll be making it to hold 9 coins. If anyone knows if I should adjust the number of holes please let me know. thanks

Santa I'll double check with the community in a bit to see if I got it right. again thanks for the input, I'd rather not mess this up before I start.

Hey Silverwolf, the case is great (awesome), if it isn't a trade secret how did you make the indents for your finger to remove the coin? Free hand with a drill or somthing more. You went for 15 coins, do you know something or just speculative engineering? (I just made that up, I like it) Yes I'm posting alot tonight, I doing back ups on old computers at work.
