Slightly granular. I bet it looks better now than when it was less worn. Still very nice for the year.

1812 large date, corroded, scratched.. G4 about $50.
The scratches on that one would bug me.
Be patient grasshopper, you can find one a little nicer in the $50-75. range.

Okay. Its just seems hard to find one in decent condition for a decent price from a seller who will ship to Canada. For some reason this series has been the hardest for me so far to find a decent coin for my 7070.

Thanks!

I have this one at AG3. The reverse is a little too far gone for 4 Imo. Maybe $30 tops. Id keep looking. You should be able to get a clean G4 in the $50-55 range if you're patient

I am leaning towards AG-3. Normally if the rim is worn in beyond the tops of the peripheral lettering, it gets graded lower than G but some early issues have gotten a pass on that especially if typical for the issue and/or has good eye appeal. If this coin had smoother surfaces and didn't have the scratches in the fields by the 2nd star, I might have gone G.

$65

I should add that most sellers are not willing to ship to Canada, so that was one of the better priced ones I have seen, and I have been searching for months on ebay.

Waay overpriced.

If you ever see anything you'd like, I'd be glad to get it and then ship it to you.
