http://www.deviantart.com/deviation...qh=sort:timeThe link is to a photo of my desk after a nice haul at the store. It's complete with mess, snacks, and lots of lovely coins. you can't really see much of the collection itself though. It's mostly hidden on the upper shelves, and in binders beneath the World Book of Coins beneath the desk.

My daughter came home from Toronto for the weekend so I was forced to clean up my messy desk. All that I have out is a few tubes of Canadian silver 10 cents, some 2X2's that need to go back in their binders, and a small box of loose coins that need to go somewhere. Now the closet where I keep all my stuff, that's another messy story.

I'm just the opposite with everything. Every coin has it's place and if not there I get upset. Same with tools. Each tool must be cleaned after use, put in it's proper place. Cloths are all hung in closets by type, color, preference in wear. With a coin it just must be in it's own place. All coin Albums are in order by denomination. I drive people nuts.

Looks much better than mine. And I don't even have that many coins.

I try to keep pretty organized. Given what I've put into these coins and the hobby, it's the least I can do.

I'd put a photo of my desk, except my coins are on my desk, in the closet, on the shelf, at my desk at work, in my pocket, etc.

That looks organized compared to my disaster area!
BTW, I love the shamrock tree (left you a comment) and the old barn. Nice gallery!

I am currently living with a family member so all I have is just a bedroom to work with so I have stuff EVERYWHERE!
I have shipping supplies and the coins I'm going thru to try and sell all over the place at the movement. It's kinda sad.

ElleKitty, I'm going to have to agree with AuldFartte on this one. Your desk looks very organized to me. I am not at home, so no pics for you, but suffice it to say there is not a spot in the room that I use that can get me far enough away from my desk to show all of the stuff I have lying on it. It certainly isn't 2X2's in nice rows. If you would mix those like you do a deck of cards, then you're close to 1/4 of my desk...

*Grins* Well I'm glad to know there is as much variation in style of sorting and storing as there is interests and collections. I wish I was one of those persons where everything had it's place, and it stayed there, but my husband is far too messy for that to happen. The only time my desk has really looked worse was when I got one of those 22 pound Bundesbank bags for my birthday. That was a true disaster, and I loved every minute of it. I tried to actually create a map of the world, between my desk and two tables. I still have coins in little bins, stashed away that I haven't really sorted through. (I can't force myself to be interested in seventy-five identical Spanish Pesetas.) Thank you to those of you who took a moment to look at the rest of my gallery. Photography is something I enjoy, but only rarely dabble in outside of photographing coins.

Hey those are fun. assuming you have a nice magnifier to read the itty bitty dates in the stars. I shall bare the burden of such hassle if you would like.

GO - if you are really interested, I'd be more than happy to put together an assortment of more than just Spanish pesetas, and send them your way. I've got a tonne of French, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, and probably a few more European countries just stacked about in Multiples. Some Australian duplicates too. That's the only real risk in buying the big bags; you get so many duplicates and they rarely come in perfect condition. All of these coins have been circulated but are still good enough for a collection.
So, if you're interested, just shoot me an E-mail and I'll see what I can do. :)
