Without a doubt the most circulated LMC I have ever seen ... very fun indeed.  Technically this coin is 'not-gradable' ... the absence of an identifiable date/mm rendering it alas a pariah in the low-ball world. Between us CCF members ... great find I agree completely with FR02. David |

Also, what is the population for this coin. or lowballs from the 60s?

I've never run across a memorial like that. From the photo it almost looks like the date could be 1964.

From the spacing, I suspect that if it was anything but a 4 we would've almost certainly seen some part of that digit other than the corner. So I agree: the date is 1964. (I also think this might be a PO-1, but I'm not sure such a thing even exists in the LMC series... Photograde Online definitely doesn't show any. Cool lowball either way.) |

A TPG might be able to date it. I have no idea what a value would be for a lowball but it's a pretty neat coin. Oregon coin geek.....*** GO BEAVS ! ! ! ***

That said ... appears there are not any PCGS low-ball LMC collectors. Quick check of the PCGS population report shows that there is a single PCGS G04 LMC lowball ... happens to be a 1963-D example. Next lowest graded PCGS LMC is a single 1968-D certified at PCGS VF30. That's it for the entire span 1959-2013. Your coin is absolutely lower in grade than the certified G04 1963-D .... if you could get it into a PCGS holder. Bottom line ... there is no low-ball collector market for LMC based on the PCGS data ... thus no hungry collector market clambering to purchase this coin. Store it safely in a 2x2 ... it is a very cool coin and I wish I had found it! David |
