What do you think is the most attractive US coin? Can be a circulation or non-circulation (i.e. proof, bullion) issue. Must be (or have been at one time) legal tender and must be a product of the US Mint. You can choose just an obverse or just a reverse if you wish. If you wish, tell us what feature(s) of the design appeal to you. My vote goes to the $20 double eagle of 1877-1907 proof. I love the reverse of this coin. Beautifully detailed devices and design! My favorite US coin is the recent 2007 Jamestown $5.00 gold Proof. The obverse design is great, but the best part is the reverse. On the reverse is a depiction of the oldest surviving structure in Jamestown (the tower to the Jamestown Church). Jamestown has so much history behind it. I find it to be the most beautiful coin I have come across. Its one of those coins you have to see in person, in order to enjoy its beauty.

That's a tough question, kind of like asking which of your kids you love the best. My moods change, lateley I've been loving the yellow stuff. At the top of the list, St Gauden's $20, then the Indian head $5 and $2.50. I have to say though, a well worn Walker is kind of special. I like the Standing quarter too. The Mercury dime is pretty cool. Top of the list is the $20 St. Gaudens though, no contest. This week anyway.

I think SLQ's in Gem BU can be breathtaking.

I've always loved the Draped Bust/ Small Eagle combination.

I'll say the SLQ as well. But it still can't hold a candle to the Gothic Crown.

My Vote goes to the $20.00 Saint followed by Bust Coinage. Mike

So many to pick from...hard choice but I'm currently liking the $10 gold Indian head.

Gees, George E. Neuman should not be on a coin yet, he is still living.

That's Alfred E. Newman. I think George E. Neuman was the character played by Weird Al Yancovic in the video "UHF."
