I'm not seeing any wear on this one, just some weakness of strike in spots. MS-62

I have wanted this type of variety (FS-301) for some time now and was able to afford this one, although it is not "problem free" (smoothed?) according to PCGS,I still love it;

What exactly does "smoothed" mean? How does one smooth a coin?

Smoothed (along with a laundry list of other "damage" under code 98) refers to some metal being moved, whether accidental or intentional, according to PCGS.
Sorry for such a long delay in responding to your question.

I didn't see that one coming. It looked like a MS-62 or 63 to me. I did notice that the weakness in the shield and 5 combined with well formed stars looked a little unusual but I didn't think too much else of it.
