Die Crack On 1943-D Washington Good Or Bad?

Jon K Pillar of the Community United States 723 Posts	Posted 02/10/2015 11:36 pm I believe this to be the most prominent die crack I have seen on any of my Washingtons. It really does not bother me nor does it enamor me. But what say the gallery? Will this die crack bring a premium in the marketplace? Or just the opposite, will it damage the value. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 02/11/2015 4:01 pm The base of the bust along with the leading edges of the eagle wings are points of inherent weakness on the Washington quarter(especially the pre-1965 design), you will repeatedly see die cracks in those areas across a large section of years and mint marks.
