Looks like there was a strong presence of USA buyers last night just curious how many were following this auction and did expectations get met

I was watching - 'til I had to go to bed. It'll be interesting to hear a summary of the auction. That material was impressive to look at and I found myself incredibly tempted to mortgage the home.

I'm curious as to what some of the lots brought. In looking through the virtual catalog I saw there was an 1870-CC quarter PCGS graded VG-10 starting price was $15,000. It was out of my reach by a country mile but maybe someone got a deal on it.

I believe the 70-cc sold for around 15K.

Of all the US coins, I'd say 90% of it was purchased primarily by four bidders as I was keeping track of the paddle numbers.

I thought it was a good move by some USA buyers from investment perspective, I'msure most if not all inventory is headed to NGC/PCG for more pts and why not, if I didn't have to mortgage the house sell my cottage and cash in my grandkids savings Id be doing the same but I would end up keeping them all.
