It seems to retain a bit of luster which is consistant with at least an EF-45 grade. is that a spot of corrosion on the reverse? I wonder whether it might be enough to cause a TPG to reject the coin for grading. Have you closely examined the mint mark area for possible alteration? I bought an "added D" forgery one time that was pretty deceptive. Fortunately the dealer replaced the fake with a coin that I had authenticated by ICG. Your coin looks real to me from the photo, but now I am always suspicious of raw '32-D quarters. Report this Post to the Staff
justjimrob Valued Member United States 330 Posts	Posted 12/04/2007 6:48 pm Thad, I purposefully waited until I was at home to offer an opinion on this one. I have a huge monitor and given the wear I wanted to be as fair as possible. Without the 2 obv. an 1 rev. spots I think the wear puts the coin between XF-40 and 45. Add in the 3 spots and I call this one a solid XF-40. It is a 32-D so I wanted to get a good look at it! Like Just Carl would say; you can send it to me so I can tell for sure.
