I don't really have one since the last two years I have let my collecting slide. However, I think the best acquisition I got this year was from my wife's aunt. She gave me a huge box of change she had been saving since 1988! Most of it LHC, which tells me how long the "usefullness" of the cent has been lacking.
A lot of fun searching and sorting through it and I am still not done. No major finds yet, other than the occasional wheatie. A lot of pre-1982 copper though.

Jbuck--don't forget to look for those 1998-2000 Wide AM varieties. I never knew about these, and now I'm kicking myself for not looking. My favorite coin for 2007? It might be my 1802 Draped Bust cent, or my 09-S VDB, or something else that's on its way here...I haven't decided yet.

Yeah Kurt, thanks to people like you here (I was also unaware until I came to CC!), I plan on it! My first plan of attack was to sort at the 1982 mark; also sorting the red from brown. My next step is to get them into tubes by years. Then I will look for varieties. Slow going since I cant help but to spend extra time on the 1969S and 1970S specimens I come across (and there are a lot more of these than expected). No "keepers" so far, but they are already in a separate pile and I will spend more time with them down the road!

Mine's a tossup between two well-worn coins just a year apart: an 1873-CC Seated Half (w/ arrows, G-4) and an 1872 Two Cent Piece (G-4).

I think mine has to be the XF 1938-D Walker I got at my coin club auction 2 weeks ago.

My coins are in 2007 are these. 1. 1890 and 1907 Indian penny I found going Thur Bank boxes of coins at bank. I amazed I found them in 2007 . They are brown old looking. I know this sounds strange about worthless old coins. They mean more to me than my 1909 S.v.b.d Or my ms64 double die 1972 slabbed coin or my 1857 Thur 2007 penny books I built as keepers after spending thousands of dollars building them. The rest my coin collection dont mean anything compared 1890 and 1907 Indians I found going Thur rolls of coins in 2007. Main reason is why all my other coins I bought over face value on ebay and can be bought no problem. The special thing to me about those Indians is I found those two coins in fed boxes. I would have never thought an person did not care about them or was not an collector and would spend those coins like that in pocket change in 2007. I would thought those coins were removed from circulation years ago. I amazed they slipped Thur thousands of bank tellers or people who I guess never saw them or found them intill I did in 2007. Its an first time I ever found an 117 year old coin or 100 year coin in change. I dont think history will repeat itself again like since I go Thur Fedboxs all time looking for coins. You never know it could happen again. I dont think it will happen again. Chevrolet454ss

I have purchased and received as gifts some really nice coins throughout the year !
all of the coins I have received as gifts have become instant favorites and center pieces in some part of my collection !
The problem is I'm way behind in my photography ,,maybe with my days off over the Holidays I will be able to catch up a little !
