Thanks VanCanCollections for the link and the comic related image.
I was on the fence whether to get it or not but that image clinched it for me. That is one great looking coin and I am certain it do much better than the 2nd gold coin since it was only an emblem.
The only question is getting one as there will be a mad scramble for them.

Thank you for sharing, VanCanCollections, and of cause the reward to CoinsForFun from ebay for listings with the pictures! and the design is very good, imo better than 2013 coin For first time, it full size engraved picture with the painted elements..so nice. Hope, they will continue keeping low mintage and not will raise it to 3.000 or even more. Looks like the secondary market price will start with CAD 1500... Edited by Silveroid

This thread is about to get super hot with pics circulating of all the new superman coins to come... As much as there may be some criticism that we have more of the same...comic covers on coins...these will all do well. Iconic legendary comic super hero - on silver and gold...there is no stopping this annual event...from RCM. The retro gold looks good...but so do the silver coins... One wonders why they are pushing up the 2015 superman coins to June/July...versus September. Are we to see more Warner Bros...i.e. - Batman in September?  |

Since the mints except minting circulation coins, take care of NCLT collection hobby, for RCM better not to stuck with "covers" theme - it endless, suitable for less expensive cards, stamps...etc. I think, by releasing "hot" and popular coins on summer, RCM tries to eliminate the effect of the "low season". Doesn't meter, what the collectors busy with on summer, they throw all away and will buy the "Superman" item, while for other coins will not be demand. And this is the smart way - real enthusiasm has no breaks. |

These will be as popular as LT,mask set and other coins that will be discounted very soon don't be fooled by the very few people here that try to hype everything the RCM makes. There is nothing special about these after the 3rd time around And the gold will not reach the $1500 mark not even close. |

Agree about silver, although they almost all (2013-2014) hold the price.
Gold has all chances to be popular, better than LT, but not as 2013.
Masks set is very popular among collectors that it popular within them. It not hot and no hype, but e_coins' listings close to 150 per coin.

He is losing money at that price considering it's about $40 to get graded And if the set had any interest the mint would not be still selling them but keep hoping.

I love the new gold design, I will be picking one up come release. It is the best design out of the three imo, with the 2013 coming second and the 2014 coming last. This would have been a cool cover to see on a coin as well.  |

I like the new 2015 Superman coins and am a bit surprised they are already listed...Some dealers have the advantage it would seem although my experience with presales is not good..Im sure this series will be of great interest to collectors and flippers alike..I think the designs are better than the 2014 series and will prove more popular.....

The June releases were in Winnipeg today for pre-order. There was a masters club event there. The 4 superman, loonies tunes, fifa coins were on display less the gold superman. Gold superman mintage is 2000.
There was a rectangular flag coin 10k mintage.

The rectangular coin has $50 denomination, so what its weight? Is it $50 for $50? With such big mintage, and if it just a paint and not enamel, not sure, why it was minted.

Clearly many items produced from the mint are designed for tourist in souvenir shops-this four edge not-a-coin is for that purchaser in mind...
