Hi everyone, I'm kinda new to this forum and I'm from Australia. I was just wondering how many types of USA quarters are there? I currently have the USA quarter with the eagle's spreaded wings, Idaho(2007), Pennslyvania (1999) and Connecticut (1999). I'm just curious on where I can find them and how many are there to collect. Sorry if this question is a bit newbish but I am just beginning to collect coins. I find it a very nice hobby XD. Any help is greatlyyyy appreciated.
P.S: I got these coins from my visiting aunty yesterday. :)

Currently the US mint has issued 45 out of 50 so far. The last 5 are due out next year. You can find them on ebay and possibly from members here (though you have to have a minimum of 50 posts) Hope this helps

A good method to get all the Statehood Quarters would be through trade, or maybe paying face value plus postage. You can let your needs be known once you have enough posts. <<<Edited by tights24 to remove offer of selling or trading to new member.>>>

If you include the mint marks (P, D) and the new releases for 2009, there will be a total of 112 different business strikes. Many people already have Statehood Quarter holders out to 2008 but no holes for 2009, so I guess another round of coin holders will be made.

And there are the two S mint proofs. One clad and One silver. So each state would have four different per State.

Kind of summing up what everyone said. There are lots and lots of our quarters out there. What you may want to do is check out coin supply web sites for a book called the Red Book. It is produced by Whitman Publishing, by R.S.Yeaoman and edited by Kenneth Bressett. I don't know if some will send to other countries, but if you had this book you would know exactly how many types of quarters and many other coins we have here. If the Walmart web site is available, try that. their prices are about the lowest for that book. As to aquiring more of those quarters, keep on checking out coin forums like this and attempt to contact members directly. You may get some nice people willing to help out an Australian Kid.

Gary brings up a very good point. We have a great bunch of collectors here. If you follow the Rules, you will be at 50 quality posts in no time at all and can trade with folks that have extras. quote: Yes, I would love to get them as soon as possible. They look really beautiful...
As long as you abide by the Rules for buying, selling, and trading, you will have the opportunity to get these soon enough. Oh, and where are my manners, Welcome to the forum!!
