OrDirtDevil Valued Member United States 214 Posts	Posted 12/28/2007 3:06 pm Was going threw some of my "S" cents last night and spotted this 1970s with some date doubling on the top. Probably just mechcanical but thought I would ask anyway before putting it away and labeling it. Having some problems with the camera so these are the best for now. coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 12/28/2007 7:40 pm It doesn't take someone familiar with a 1972S cent, the signs are all the same no matter what the date reads. Obvious flattened areas, no notching anywhere, and the doubling makes the affected devices thinner than normal, not thicker than normal. These are all classic signs of Machine Doubling.
