I am thinking AU details, damaged. I don't know the value of this coin with the damage. Or are they planchet flaws?

I'm guessing it must have been a flawed planchet.

I think you have a planchet flaw. AU details. Not sure of value. If that defect was caused PM then you I think you would see scratches all around
