Does anyone know where I can find the final mintage numbers listed for the ATB S quarters without having to pour through months worth of Mint Sales and multiplying rolls and bags for each coin? I have been looking online for about a week and these are the numbers I came up with but some of them were still selling when these numbers were published so I know they are out of date. But this is my starting point.

2012
El Yunque - 1,680,140
Chaco Culture - 1,389,020
Acadia - 1,305,600*
Hawaii Volcanoes - 1,379,040
Denali - 1,156,860*

2013
White Mountain - 1,606,980
Perry Victory - 1,398.340
Great Basin - 1,316,500
Fort McHenry - 1,313,680*
Mount Rushmore - 1,212,260*

2014
?

*At least this many but I believe these numbers to be outdated.

I emailed the Mint to ask the numbers since they aren't posted anywhere and this is the response I got;

"This letter is in response to your recent correspondence to the United States Mint. We are more than happy to assist you.

The United States Mint website does not currently display mintage information for the America the Beautiful Quarters program. We apologize for the inconvenience."

...I guess maybe they are keeping it secret?

On the sales figures page you can run a cumulative report that contains everything. You'll still need to add them up but at least it will all be in one spot. The answer will be "way more than is actually needed to supply collector demand"

I have looked for this myself without success. I've continued your calculation into 2014. However, Smoky Mountains is the only sell out so I assume the final numbers for the others in 2014 will climb.

2012 - Anyone know how to verify 2012 sales?

2013 (Updated 1/4/2015)
Mount Rushmore - 1,373,260
Perry Victory - 1,425,740

2014
Great Smoky Mountains - 1,360,780

Arches - 1,213,240*
Everglades - 1,153,520*
Shenandoah - 1,247,860*
Great Sand Dunes - 1,156,460*

One of these days I'm going to have to get all these for whatever album solution I select. I bought two rolls in the first year they came out but haven't since... just seemed like too much to spend in the long run.

I don't think that I need all of them, and I have never really collected coins to fill albums or get every coin in a set. I am more intersted in these specific coins as investment (not all coins as I love the history of coinage and currency). They are being minted at historic low mintages, the general public doesn't seem to know they exist, most coin collectors are snubbing them because they started on the third year of a ten year run. I feel that when the albums come out in 2021 every collector who snubbed them early on will be looking to fill holes in their albums.

It's a tough choice. Do you spend $3 on something you know only costs 35 cents, or spend $20 and get way more than you need?

1.5 million would be a low mintage for a circulated coin, but these are only minted for collectors. Note that they don't include these in the 3 coin year set. If they did, sales of rolls would drop at least 75%. These will never be worth more than a sandwich any time this century.

Just wait and buy them singly at a coin show, that is my plan.

In my opinion, the key event to make these San Francisco ATB Quarters worthwhile is for Dansco to produce an album or pages featuring holes for these coins. If they do, I could see a much higher demand for them as collectors work to get the complete set.

Until then, they'll probably stay in their rolls / bags or kept in a 2x2.

That is the truth. Right or wrong, a lot of us like to fill album holes. Having those labeled holes in an album will certainly drive demand.

Case in point, I have both varieties of 1979-S coins in my Dansco "including proof only" albums since there are two separate labeled holes for them. However, there are not separate labeled holes for the the two 1981-S varieties, just a single dated 1981-S hole, so I only have one for that year in each album.

I spent two hours going through the most recent mint sales numbers and working backwards to 2012 tonight. These are the final numbers I have but will double check them again tomorrow agaisn't the raw data and cross check other sources. I don't know if these would even be the actual mintages or if it is just the amount that were sold while available.
