The spreading on this is not shown very well in the pics. I suppose it is DDO-001 considering it is the only one.

Something I've never understood, is why are these types of errors so valuable or popular? If you have to magnify something THAT MUCH in order to see the variation/error... is it really worth it? 1955 is pretty clear, everyone can get on board. But it's like saying, if you stand on one leg, with a full moon, while looking in the east and spit in the west, you'll feel the wind is just a little stronger. JMO :)

@wrestling I put it under that magnification for the sake of CCF being able to see it. You could see this with a 10X loupe. They are also popular because supply is low. Just one die pair made these coins. And with low supply and great demand, well, you know the rest.

Gotcha, I didn't realize that this could be traced back to only one die pair. Great for you. I guess most of my friends aren't coin collectors, so if I handed them a 10x and said, "if you look closely." Most of mine I go, look, this coin was made when America was only 60 years old. :)
