This is now the oldest gold coin that I own. What grade would you give it?

This is hardly my specialty, but I'll say VF-20. (I can hear the boos, fine).

VF-25

The reverse appears to have a remarkably mushy strike.

No expert on gold....I will say VF30, could be wear or a really weak strike since it is from New Orleans after all...

I'll 2nd XF45 but I could see it being higher.
I really like the overall look of this coin.

Too much wear on the eagle to get anywhere near a XF (or higher in that case) grade. VF-25

I like posting old gold in this section. Grades are usually all over the place. A few guesses are close but nobody has guessed it right yet.

I'll go XF40. That reverse is a poster child for a poorly struck "O" mint gold piece.

The reverse strike is bad, the obverse also has areas of extreme Die Deterioration, I think it's a VF-35.
