The right side of the reverse has some of the detail of the coin missing. The front is complete. The little mark on the front is just a shadow. Also the coin is not perfectly round. Is this a legitamite errror coin?

It is unfortunately very difficult to tell from the picture. If you get the chance, perhaps another shot or two with a little better lighting could help.

If it's not round, it's probably something that was flattened out of collar - outside the mint.

Do the rims show a "flattened look? It might have been "Put thru the rollers in a rolling press, to enlongate it.

It looks to me like it was flattened after it left the mint.

Hi All,

I made some adjustments to the picture to lighten it for the original poster.

It is quite apparent that a hammer had something to do with this after the coin left the Mint. See the picture below...

There is one spot on the rim that is thinner then the rest. that is were the coin is out of round. I tend to agree that this coin was played with. A hammer I dont think so maybe some kind of press. Thanks for all the comments and the retouch of the pic.
