I would need a close up of the 9 to be sure, but I think it is an OB11/RD9 and one of the most common W9/8 die pairs. Leaf 9 sure looks like it. I don't think the stuff around the I in DEI is a die crack. Maybe struck through something. I also see what looks like a die crack on the top of the first 'A' in GRATIA.

Not a blunder--wrong shape. It is a die crack combined with debris strike through.IMHO.

Except for the anomaly above the I in Dei, it has all the markers for, as Bosox said, Obverse OB11 ... D/C's at the A in Gratia, after the A in Victoria and G in Regina. The OB11 has no D/C's of any sort above the I in Dei. As Bosox siad, it must be a strikethrough or strike over a metallic shaving.

That latest photo looks like PMD .. you can see the build-up where the metal piled up. |
