I came across 2 rolls of 1959 uncirculated Lincoln pennies today. They ALL look very nice and shiny.

How do I determine which of these, if any, that I should submit to be graded? Anyone have pictures with examples of what to look for?

Personally, I wouldn't bother as I am 100% against the blasphemous slabs but.....

Look for wear on the hair, cheek, chin and shoulder. Check the steps on the memorial, Lincoln on his thrown--oops I mean chair. Obviously pick the one/ones with the least scrathes and/or blemishs. Be sure to send to a respectable company and wear gloves whenever handling the coin, even if you are just touching the edge. There might be someother things to look into, but someone else will have to pipe in for that--these are just what I look for in a Lincoln.

Good luck and post some pics of your favs over in the Practice Grading Forum before you send them out...will be fun to see how they turn out

Be careful with them. Also, I wasnt aware 1959's were worth getting graded, really, unless you have MS67s. If you have any 1959 D's, check for Wheat Ears.

How would I determine a MS67? The coins look great. A lot of them have a single scratch or blemish, but I found 2-3 that look flawless.

BU roll of 1959 Lincoln Cent has Greysheet of $1.10 bid, $1.20 ask.
What's the deal about slabbing them ? You're going to spend $15, plus shipping to slab each coin.
The avarage coin you will find in that roll is MS62, the nicer ones maybe MS64. Those are worth a few cents each.
You may find an MS67 once in a hundred rolls if you're lucky.

Rolls are overpriced but high grade coins might not be. This date comes very nice so you'll need nice clean coins that are well struck from good dies. If you think they're that nice it might be worth submitting them.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
