I have about $600 worth of Kennedy halves. All I know is that there is no silver in these rolls. What are the key dates for non silver Kennedy halves? I want to look through them and pull them out. Is there any reason to hang on to the non key dates or should I just take these to the bank. That way I could buy a more expensive coin. I just wanted to ask everyone here before I took them to the bank and possibly do somoething that I would regret. All I need to finish my Walking Liberty half dollar Type Set is the 1921-p. I would be able to complete my album this way. Thanks!

1970 and older are the silver years. 1987 P&D were only for mint sets sos I save those too. HH Mark

Coins 2002 and later also weren't intended for circulation (fewer were minted) and are worth a small premium.

In addition to pre-1971 (but not 1971), 87 P&D, 01P and 2002-present, there are additional keepers if condition is high. In this thread, the answer is given, based on analysis of thousands of coins analyzed by myself and CCF members. https://goccf.com/t/22710

Also look at your 74D for possible doubled motto- rare but if you have it could buy the 21P all by itself.
