I posted this coin before asking whether it was real or not. The consensus was yes. I now have better photos so I've decided to get it graded by CCF members. Unfortunately it is in a 2x2. Thanx in advance.

Real and XF 45. May have been cleaned at one time but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

A side note on 5$ Libs.....

As far as I know, it is the only denomination and series to have been struck at all 7 US Mints during its 69 year period of issue. I have actually put a couple of 7-mint coin sets together during my collecting career.

It would really be nice if the mint would actually strike a "W" mint marked edition for collectors one of these days.

Looks AU-50 to me. Doesn't have that "scrubbed" look of cleaned gold so I think this example is OK.

Genuine. The technical grade is AU-50, but from the eye appeal aspect, I'd say that it has the market value of an EF-45.
