The 1873-4 With Arrows type coins are scarce. They are not that popular because I don't believe that they are included in the Dansco type coin album. They were only minted for two years, and the mintages were low because an economic recession, the Panic of 1873, limited demand for new coins.

As a type collector I can tell you that these coins are not my favorites. By the time I got around to filling these holes to complete my set, I had "Liberty Seated type coin fatigue." There are so many Liberty Seated types to get, and after a while coins like this, which from their history seem like they were unnecessary, get tiring, especially given their expense.

So how would you grade this one?

So, I have been a lurker on your posts but seek them out because of the quality of coins. Seated halves are a favorite of mine and I must reply to this, once again, great example of yours. MS 63 with a nice die crack going on.

MS-63 looks like a gold coin with the toning.
Contact marks on the obverse.

Agree 64. a bit too much obverse chatter for 65, imo.

I'll say 64 too, the leap to 65 is 10K. Beautiful eye appeal.
