I still say max EF-40, although I have seen worse in AU-50 holders. But nevertheless, it is still a slight upgrade to my FR-02 example. And for $50 in a lot that included $40 worth of other coins, I'm not complaining.

Do I need to improve my pictures, or is this a hard coin to grade?

The different pictures .. Maybe different lighting almost make
this coin look like two different coins .... Of course it is the
same coin.

It would be easier for me to say this is a VF coin
But would not bet against it being a low XF.

It is a coin I would have to grade in hand.
Rest in Peace

Obvious wear on the eagle's breast and across Miss Liberty's breast, thigh and knee; looks EF overall.

Odd how LIBERTY looks faint even though the obverse rim beads are mostly sharp. The date is still solid so the weakness of LIBERTY is puzzling.

I always under grade these coins in the circulated grades. I'd say EF-45 given the fact that it has some luster in the protected areas in the first photo of the obverse that you posts.

EF-40 to EF-45 depending on if the grader is having a good day or not.
